I hav Mac OS X10.6.8 and it in not letting me install Mountain Lion saying disk is not formatted
purchased Mountain lion but cannot load it, keep getting a "this disk is'nt formatted message

Disk Utility->select the disk and show us the partitioning scheme.
Should be GUID Partition Table.
Then, the volume you want to install on and show us he formatting.
Should be Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
