Ripped LCD Ribbon on iPhone Screen

I was going to fix the home button on my iPhone when I tugged a little too hard on the screen because it was stuck and the super tiny ribbon cable broke. Is it possible to simply mend the cable? If so what would I use? I don't want to drop money on a new screen since I will be getting the new one right away when it comes out tomorrow and I wish to sell it for a little money towards my new one. My tech teacher said maybe a epoxy? What about this?

Epoxy

I read that it must be silver, on some website

Thanks!

You might post there to see if anyone has found a way to repair the cable. I've not seen a way to do it so far short of replacing the screen. And you didn't get it right or the cable would work.

You might want to consider selling it as a parts iPhone only and advise buyers it has a torn cable.

Well there are ways to fix the wire, I was looking on here to see and ask what other people did. I don't want to replace the screen because i'm getting the new one when it comes out. The whole phone works great with no problems so I don't want to part it.

The iPhone is not user servicable so asking on an Apple hosted forum how to correct an issue you created by opening the device simply isn't a very bright thing to do.

Search elsewhere.

Replace the screen.

Do whatever you like, but you're not going to get the answer(s) you want.
