Mountain Lion issue Connecting to legacy AFP services

I can't seem to get this to work under Mountain Lion although it works fine under Lion.


When I try Step 4, I receive the following error, The domain/default pair of (/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient, afp_disabled_uams) does not exist


I am attempting to connect to NetWare 6.5, SP8 using clear text.

OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

Resolved this by connecting to an OS X 10.7 server in Step 3. In Lion I was able to connect to our NetWare server and complete the steps but not Mountain Lion.
