Upgrading to OS X Mountain Lion before July 26

I bought my Macbook Pro on June 26, 2012 and was told that I could recieve a free upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion if I filled out an online form on Apple.com. I filled out and submitted the form but never recieved a code to redeem the upgrade. How can I get my free copy of Mountain Lion now that the specifications are "On or after July 26"? If I missed some sort of deadline I am going to be really upset seeing as how I did submit my form over a month ago...

When you applied on the website, you would have got a reference number at the end of the process. When you called, did you have that number for them to look up? They may also be able to look it up with your serial number... do you know if they did? What did they say?

Applying the normal method now, even if you could, would be useless. System's bought before mountain lion came out had to be registered for the program within 30 days of when mountain lion became available.

When you call in, the support people can also provide you with an email to the Up To Date Support Team. Get that email address and make your case to them.
