I can not logon to Apple App store to download Mountain Lion. The App Store does not show an active log-on screen.

I've been trying to DL the new Mountain Lion software but when I open "Apps Store" the progam opens but the sign on window will not open to allow me to sign on. I just updated my iPhone apps and had no problem. I tried numerous things and it has become very frustrating. Could anyone help with this problem?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Helps to tell us what you have tried that didn't work.

Mac App Store: Sign in sheet does not appear, or does not accept typed text

Temporarily disable anti virus software.

Third party pps such as Little Snitch, Net Nanny, and Hands Off can prevent access to the App Store.

Keep in mind, the iPhone runs on the iOS while your Mac runs on the OS X. Two different operating systems. So while it works on your iPhone, it's unlikely the same problems exists on your Mac.

I don't have any of the third party apps listed. I also disabled my anti virus which didn't make a difference. I can logon to iCloud, enter my Apple ID and password with no problem, I assume this runs on the OS X,

I have become very frustrated with getting this resolved. I even tried using a gift card and redeeming it to purchase the new Mountain Lion software and even though I could enter the card's code, it wouldn't accept it. It would be great if you stull would have the option to purchase a hard copy of the software. Is it possible that my App Store application is damaged?? Is it possible to restore the App Store application from my Time Machine backup??
