Q: show reminders in ical??

i cannot work out how to show my reminders in the ical in the left hand bar can anyone help?

 

ive seen tutorials in youtube and it sayd go to view> show/hide reminders

 

but this isnt appreaing in my Ical ,

 

i want to be able to sync them

 

 

When I die and they lay me to rest

Gonna go to the place that's the best

When I lay me down to die

Goin' up to the iCloud in the sky

    Those instructions work in Lion and prior.  In Mountain Lion, reminders have been moved to their own application call Reminders.

    Thanks, I've just found this out and there is now way to sync the reminders to show up in my iCal :(

     

    Do you know them if there is anyway to change my alert to remind me I have an event in my iCal on the iPhone from 9 am till 730 am .... By time 9 has come I'm out and it's too late then

     

    So say I need to remind myself to take a book for a 10 am appointment st the moment I can have 2days befor 1 day 1 hrs etc I want it to go off at 730 ??? Can you help ???

    Right click the event in Calendar and select "get info".  You can change the time there.  You can also set the alert time in that screen to xx minutes before.

     

    If you have it as a reminder, you can right click the reminder and select "show info".  Then click the the time (9 am) and change it to when you would like.

    Mac reminders can easily synch to iPad reminders using iCloud.  However, there is no reminders - calendar synch.

    I don't know why Apple cannot do a better job of synching Reminders with iCal.  Actually, they don't synch at all.  If you want this feature I recommend that you get the Wonderlist app.  These developers really 'get' how the user interface should work. It's a great app and works perfectly with iCal.
