Totally dissatisfied with my first Apple purchase . . .

I've avoided Apple because of the proprietary nature, but last month, I bought a Scion xB that has an iPod dock.

So after a couple days of consideration, I scurry off to Apple.com to buy an iPod.

Since I plan to only use it to play in car, I buy a cute little Shuffle in green, with my initials and phone number etched into it.

Dumbest thing I have done this week.

See, NOWHERE in the description of the Shuffle does it say that it doesn't have the customary iPod connection. No photo reveals that it is different.

Can this thing be converted? Or have I just purchased another useless piece of junk?

Wanted my mp3 tunes in my car. Got a piece of costume jewelry.
