why is my iMac overheating?

I'm having the same problem others are - in Mountain Lion, I seem to be getting a much warmer computer, with the fan running hard much more often. I'm not a heavy CPU user, and am not sure why the CPU should be working so hard. What's up? Any help appreciated. An iStat view is shown here.

Go to the Activity Monitor App (Applications-->Utilities-->Activity Monitor.app) and check what is gobbling your CPU. Make sure to select "All Processes" at the top-right corner and to sort the list by %CPU.

Checked Activity Monitor, and it seems that the biggest user of CPU was oddly Skype - which I had open but wasn't even using at the time! Quit it, and CPU use goes down. Why it should be so active is beyond me, maybe I'll write them and ask if they've had problems recently.

Thanks for the help - I guess we can consider this one solved.
