My iCloud mail has been down all day, 6 hours plus now. Has Apple made an announcement? I need my mail for work. Does anyone know what is going on? This really isn't good enough. Claire, Sydney, Australia

My iCloud has been down all day. I'm in L.A. It started getting really slow the following night. All I get is some lame excuse that only 1.1% of users are experiencing this problem.... I find that hard to BELIEVE!
I'm in Australia and it has been down for me too.
I called Apple and was told the servers are down. They have no estimate when they will be back up. Going on 17 hours with no mail or iCloud...
