Keyboard help

MY keyboard just stopped working. I came home and attempted to put in my password for my computer and the keyboard is on and connected but it won't type anything. Help! I left about 5 hrs ago and computer was sleeping. I came home to a blank username with cap locks on....and the keyboard won't type. Weird! Help!
