HOW DO I INCREASE MY STORAGE ON ITUNES?

HELLO,

FIRSTLY I MUST LET YOU KNOW THAT I AM "********" WHEN IT COMES TO ALL THIS IPHONE/ITUNES STUFF 😢

I HAVE AN IPHONE 4 (16GB). I PURCHASED 10GB EXTRA STORAGE ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO THROUGH MY IPHONE AS YOU CAN DO AND AS YOU ALL KNOW YOU ARE ABLE TO PURCHASE MORE IF ONE WANTS.

ANYWAY, I AM CONFUSED!!!! 😕 IN THE "ABOUT" SECTION OF MY IPHONE IT STATES "CAPACITY" - 13.7GB AND THEN "AVAILABLE" - 1.5GB.

HOWEVER, WHEN I GO TO THE "ICLOUD" SECTION AND THEN TO THE "STORAGE AND BACKUP" SECTION, UNDER "STORAGE IT STATES, "TOTAL STORAGE" - 15.0GB AND "AVAILABLE" - 11.5GB. I TOTALLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHE THE DIFFERING STORAGE AND CAPACITY AMOUNTS.

ALSO (LOL) - (I DID STATE ABOVE THAT I AM "********" WITH THIS STUFF), RECENTLY WHEN I CONNECT MY IPHONE TO MY ASUS LAPTOP TO TRY TO SYNC RINGTONES AND TONES AND EVEN JUST TO SYNC "MY CHROME" APP, ITUNES PLACES A MESSAGE ON ITUNES STATING THAT ITUNES CANNOT SYNC WITH MY IPHONE BECAUSE MY IPHONE REQUIRES AN EXTRA 3.55GB??????? WHAT THE **** DOES THAT MEAN?

DOES THIS MEAN THAT I HAVE TO GO INTO "STORAGE AND BACKUP" AND SPEND $42.00 TO BUY 20GB MORE STORAGE?

THIS MESSAGE FROM ITUNES STATING THAT MY IPHONE REQUIRES AN EXTRA 3.55GB HAS CONFUSED ME, BECAUSE NOW I AM ASSUMING THAT YOU HAVE TO BUY EXTRA STORAGE FOR ITUNES ITSELF OR WILL BUYING/UPGRADING TO 20GB FIX THE PROBLEM?

I HOPE ALL OF THE ABOVE HAS MADE SENSE TO YOU ALL AND I SINCERELY HOPE THAT ONE OF YOU OUT THERE CAN HELP ME WITH MY LONG, LONG (LOL) QUESTION 😍

First it is generally accepted, that person is screaming, when they capitalize everything, That is "no no" on the forums.

Second

IN THE "ABOUT" SECTION OF MY IPHONE IT STATES "CAPACITY" - 13.7GB AND THEN "AVAILABLE" - 1.5GB.

That is difference between you physical phone storage that still have 1.5 Gigs of available space left and your icloud account that you have purchased additional storage in size of ten gigs, but never needed it.

WHEN I CONNECT MY IPHONE TO MY ASUS LAPTOP TO TRY TO SYNC RINGTONES AND TONES AND EVEN JUST TO SYNC "MY CHROME" APP, ITUNES PLACES A MESSAGE ON ITUNES STATING THAT ITUNES CANNOT SYNC WITH MY IPHONE BECAUSE MY IPHONE REQUIRES AN EXTRA 3.55GB??????? WHAT THE **** DOES THAT MEAN?

That means that your phone does not have enough space to accommodate all music photos and other info from your computer. It only has 1.5 available but needs to have 5 gigs.

DOES THIS MEAN THAT I HAVE TO GO INTO "STORAGE AND BACKUP" AND SPEND $42.00 TO BUY 20GB MORE STORAGE?

That idea sounds ridiculous, since you not even using the 10 gigs, that you already purchased for this year. When you get storage in itunes IT DOES NOT ADD STORAGE TO YOUR PHONE !!!!

sorry for screaming at you at the end.

Your iTunes storage in iCloud is online, kept on Apple's servers. Your iPhone's storage is whatever amount of solid-state memory storage you purchased with your device (in your case, 16GB).

While you can grow your iCloud online storage by purchasing more, your iPhone's storage is fixed at whatever it was built with.

Right now, you have more data in your iTunes library and online storage than can fit on your iPhone (apparantly anout 3.55GB more than can fit).

All you can do is select what subset of your total music library you wish to put on your iPhone at any one time. You cannot increase the storage on your iPhone - it is fixed at 16GB. You could delete other applications on your iPhone to make more storage available for iTunes content, but you will never be able to put more than 16GB of "stuff" on your iPhone.

What you actually asking is, How to increase storage on my iPhone? The only way to do it, to buy a bigger phone. You really don't need storage in itunes, cause they are on you computer and computer does have enough storage. You may want to think about contacting apple in order to get refund, for those 10 gigs of icloud storage, that you purchased. That I am not sure about - you kind of getting close to free 5 gigs and you may still need it. In case if you decide here is the link for contact.
