I don't get a Call Waiting Notification when I call someone how activated the waiting option, dispite of my carrier supports this feature...why is that? or is it possible to get this feature active in my Iphone 4s?

Settings > Phone > Call Waiting > On.
This is for when a call is being received while on another call.

This happened to me as well.
Close all applications on your phone. To do this, double click the home button, and 'x' out of all the applications on the bottom row.
Then, go to settings; general; reset; reset network connections.
