Q: the music on my iphone 4s is not in my itunes...help!

HI....the large majority of my music on my iphone 4s is not showing in itunes when I'm plugged in.  It's a fairly new phone.  Would like to be able to see all my music in itunes so i can delete some music i no longer want....Thanks!!
