Q: Why can I only hear AirPlay and not have any picture from my iPad to my apple tv on certain apps.... Ie 4OD AND TV3 for iPad ? Anyone help?

Not all apps are enabled for airplay. This is up to the developer to do.

Audio is on be default, the developers have to enable the video.

Why does Apple approve apps that do not work with it's iOS features such as AirPlay? I feel conned. If something like Sky Go app does not support AirPlay it should not be available via the Apple store. I now have to watch programmes on my iPad ... Can I have an ATV refund please?

That feature is specific to Apple TV and has no bearing on approval guidelines. The tools are given to each developer and then it's up to them to implement. With regards to that app they have blocked it due to licensing agreements.

There is no con as it does not advertise airplay support for every app and those that do support are specified. If you are within 14 days you are free to return. Best to research based on specific needs so you aren't disappointed.
