Will the US A1429 (CDMA) iPhone 5 work on Australian 4G LTE networks?

I am currently living in the US for a few months and am interested in getting the new iPhone 5.

Looking at the specs ( http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/ ), it seems like the CDMA iPhone 5 A1429 supports all of the bands that the GSM A1429 offers. From what I can tell, the CDMA phone will only be sold here in the US with the GSM A1429 being the only worldwide non-US version offered.

Can I buy the CDMA A1429 here in the US and have it work with the Australian 4G networks once I go back home? I'm particularly interested in using the Optus/Virgin network (1800MHz, Band 3 LTE) once I get home but just want to make sure since it does say that "Band support does not guarantee support on all LTE networks running on the same bands."

Well talk to your provider to see if they will have that model available to them.

If nothing else they will release factory unlocked version in a few months that you could use on your network

Australia will not be selling the CDMA version of iPhone 5, but because it has the most global configurations for 3G/4G connectivity, does that mean a unlocked factory iPhone 5 (CDMA) version would work on say Telstra's and Optus' networks?

I'm curious if it will not work based on the same band frequencies or something like that.

Technically it should work in Australia provided that the US A1429 (Sprint-Verizon ) CDMA-GSM is factory unlocked for the GSM usage outside the US using the local SIM card of that country. Once your iphone 5 is factory unlocked its considered a world phone it can be used on any network.
