When i go to >Software Update or open App Store to check for updates the spinning wheel will start and then this notification appears
"An error has occurred - The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1100.)"
Has this happened to anyone, and/or do you know how to fix it?

Happening to lots of others including me. It's most likely an Apple Server issue. You'll have to wait until it gets sorted out on Apple's end.

I am too getting this very same message... This is very likely a problem with Apple's server given that many other users seem to be suffering from this issue. I am on Comcast Xfinity, what are your ISPs?
Yep, it's still a problem.
Surprised at how long this has been going on.
I called Apple tech support and they said that it is a problem with their server. They said that they were working on a fix.
Same problem here. I hope they get it resolved soon. For me, it began the evening of the 12th.

A few glitches in Apple's million(billion) dollar new server farms I presume.
In general, it just works. Except for yesterday, and today.
I have every confidence in Apple they will resolve the issue soon so that we can carry on enjoying life.

Called Apple Today and the Senior Advisor told me that the issue seems to be due to a problem on Apple's own server since yesterday. They think that the issue will be fixed by tomorrow...
Well as long as it was a Senior Advisor then I know the information is good.
It's working for me now. Thanks for fixing it, Apple!
