Why there is a black oval shape on the right back of iPod touch 5G?
If I am not wrong this black oval shape exists on iPod Touch 3G, but then disappeared on the 4G. And now it's back?
What is the use of it?
Would be perfect look without it stick on the back?

If it is the same as the 1-3G iPods, it covers the antenna and allow the signal to get to the antenna. The singanl will not go though metal. For the 4G they uses a different method.

Ok seem to make sense for wifi signal to transmit through that black rubber oval shape.
But how about iPod 4G? Why there is no black oval shape on the back - does that imply that there is no wifi available iPod 4G.
The 4G has wifi. They just do a it a different way.
it is for better wifi and blootooth
it dose have wifi it just dose not have wifi as good as the ipod 5g 😉
