Q: Instruments missing after migration

I got a new MacBook Pro (Retina) and after migrating from my old MBP, many Logic instruments are not found. How do I fix this?

Same problem. I have just replaced my older iMac Intel Core Duo 2007 with a current model. Everything is backed up via Time Machine, and it *appears* to have come across, but when you launch many Logic Pro files, instruments are missing and/or not mapped properly. I have some customized patches on the old system, including the software versions of E-Mu Proteus, and Garritan Big Band. I tried to re-install the latter off the DVD but still a lot of files are being reported missing.

I am betting there is no way to fix this, other than to painstakingly re-create all my sound-banks and files, but if anyone knows better, I would sure love to hear it.

problem solved. Go to Project>Save Assets in Logic, and save all the ESX instruments AND samples to the project folder, then move it.
