Super slow transfer speed
I'm just copying an 850 mb file yet it's requiring 10 minutes? THIS IS FRUSTRATING.
How can I fix this? :|

USB stick.
They're super slow. That's about what I'd expect, time-wise. I have an emergency USB boot stick and it takes forever to boot. Copying a 4.5GB file took 53 minutes.

But I don't remember my Mac being this slow. 😟
I have been using a PC since 1980's. I got my first MAC at my Computer store because I am now doing a lot of data recovery on MAC's.
The data transfer rates are unusable. They are not even close to PC.
The OS is also slow and not what I have heard. You have to do the same updates and there are lock ups.
There is little to no integration of the existing software.
I am so unimpressed I am glad I only use it as a recovery tool for MAC partition.

If you are trying to write a lot of small files to USB stick then it's normal behaviour.
