MIDI transcription

Sorry if this has been discussed here before or is a dumb question... how do I get a notation / transcription from MIDI? I have done it on accident a few times but know that I need to I can't remember how it was done...

Dual 2.5 GHz G5, Mac OS X (10.4.2)

you mean how to open the matrix editor?

just double click on the Midi region,
or cmd+6 opens the matrix window for the currently selected Midi region.

Are you referring to the Score Window? It's under the Windows menu.

Sorry to drum this up again (no pun intended). Got this to work, but...

Can anyone tell me how to make it transcribe CORRECTLY? What I mean is, I have MIDI notes on specific keys, and it is somehow scribing two of the same key hits on two different staffs. Why would that happen? I mean, MIDI uses standard keys...
