How do you open an .xltm file (excel spreadsheet) in Numbers

There are no options. If Numbers won't open the file, you'll have to present Numbers with a different file format.

Most spreadsheet programs have optional Save formats, such as a plain .xls.

According to an article at ask.com, .xltm indicates a macro-enabled Excel file. Numbers does not support Excel macros, so parts of the file woould be of no use, even if you could open the file.

You might try locating the file in the Finder, then changing the extension from .xltm to .xls or .xlsx You will lose the macros, but may be able to use the file without those features.
