Mackie or eMagic Logic Control feedback (plug in behavior)

How do you existing users of these wonderful Mackie and eMagic control surfaces like how the box behaves in Plug in selection/editing...?? Do you find it easy, and intuitive?

I'm now seriously interested in getting a Mackie Universal, or eMagic Logic Control. I've been a user of the Behringer BCF for well over a year now, but hadn't utilized it much beyond the fader, and pan automation.

I just started using it for bringing up new plug ins into the channel strip, and really don't like the implementation/useability. Firstly, you can't see what plugin your about to choose unless you have a 3rd party tool called LCXView until you've already chosen it and it opens.
Secondly, it's odd in terms of which pots control which controls in the plugs (just is not sequential or logical).

(I can think of a Logic feature that would have the channel strip menus follow on screen what is being selected in the controller, all hierachies... But that's another topic).

Thoughts or Feedack?
