Q: Apple camera adaptor says insufficient power with one of my cameras

The adaptor works with my canon camera.  When I      plug in my little Nikon Coolpix I get a message about insufficient power.  The memory card works,

but plugging the camera in leaves this message.

Is the camera battery fully charged and is the camera on when doing the transfer?

after the 4.2.1 update most stopped working because you get this "USB Device Requires Too Much Power" why apple lowered the usb current support from 100ma to 20ma only they can tell you.  I can tell you it's a pain in my butt because now my usb mic, my camera, usb drives and other items no longer work with it.  It worked fine before the update.  APPLE PLEASE FIX !
