I've accessed my voice mail in the past with no problem, but when I press the button to play the voicemail it does nothing. If I put the phone up to my ear, Siri is activated. Any ideas?

First, you can turn off the Siri Raise-to-Speak feature in settings > general > Siri > raise to speak off
Next, when it comes to your visual voicemail, all the troubleshooting is done by your carrier. I know it seems counterintuitive, but Apple doesn't control it - it's all carrier-side
