My ipod touch (4th gen) wont turn on.

No water/moisture damage. It died like it normally would. I plugged it in to my charger like I do and it had the apple symbol come up as usual but it's been on the apple symbol for over an hour, what should I do? I've tried unplugging it, putting it on another charger and it still does the same thing.. Please help!

Hi, I had the same problem, and I fixed it! Its called DFU mode.

1) Open iTunes, then connect iPod into computer.

2) Hold down Power button and Home button until the screen goes black and turns off.

3) Keep holding it down!

4) Now let go of your power button but contunue to hold the Home button

5) After 10-20 seconds, iTunes should recognize that your iPod is in DFU mode.

6) Now you can let go of Home button. *important

7) When you are done, restore your ipod.

Did it work? 😀

If not successful, try the remain items here:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
