iPhone 5 Pre-order delivery estimates slipped to two weeks in UK

I have yet to recieve the e-mail confirming the date but I did notice the 2 week dispatch time and the 3-7 days delivery which is making me think that I wont get it on the 21/9 the whole reason I odered it directly from apple!

If your email says Dispatched: Delivers on 21/9 in most areas then you will get it next Friday assuming you live in the dark blue area of the UK on their delivery map.

its changed to two weeks because they sold out of the first batch

I ordered mine just after 9am this morning, When the page started working! I still am yet to recieve any contact from Apple about the order, even a confiramtion if I log into the account section of the store its says delivers 1 Oct.

So I dont know!!! I suppose all I can do it hope!!

E-Mail just came through called "Your Order is Being Processed" all it said regarding delivery is

"Once we have finished processing your order and it has shipped, you will receive an email with an updated delivery estimate. For delivery date information, click here."

Still no E-mail with an actual date!! It is a little fustrating!

I ordered 2 x 32GB iphone 5 at 1300, delivery date is 1 October 😟. Thats £1200 I've parted with, and I have to wait ages 😟

I ordered mine at 8.03 am (UK time) through the Store App, and it is still saying delivery 21st 9th, I think they sold their original batch after 90 mins which I thought would happen quicker than that. I remember the Iphone 4 I had to wait 6 weeks but worth the wait.... if mine is delayed I am not bothered I justknow I am getting one!

It's fair enough saying that but if they cant meet the intial influx then they should make more before the launch. I am a little angry if I am going to have to wait longer just because they sold out in no time at all!!!

In fairness, I dont think its because they dont have enough, seeing as a friend just ordered the 64GB and got the same delivery time and they are in a lot less demand. I think its to do with sheer fact that they cant physically deliver enough door to door in time.

UPS I am sure would love the contract to deliver every iPhone in one day because of the sheer money they could make. It's not like they dont have the capacity. I think it really all boils down to making it look like there is more demand than handsets. You will most likely find they have millions stood by they just dont want to flood the market as they want the item to be desirable and by limiting the avliablity you do this.

Still as consumers we really shouldn't settle for it, but we are British so we will keep a stiff upper lip and wait!!!

I got my "order being processed" email at 8.41am uk time. I ordered. 64gb black iPhone with the lightning adaptor. Delivery mail says October delivery but there is no number next to it to give an idea on date. Does that mean everyone else who ordered had 1 October stated in their order confirmation email. Mine just says October which is rather vague given there are 31 days in October. I can see myself cancelling this order and buying in store.

That's because you ordered the lightning adapter which is out of stock. Standard Delivery holds all items until the last one is available. I did the same thing, got an October delivery date, cancelled the lightning adapter and the delivery date changed to 9/21, which is Friday in American.

What time did you place the orginal order though because allot of us are still getting the 1 October delivery and not the 9/21!!

I am still pretty angry about this all I can hope is they get them out for Friday and I dont have to wait another week.

About 8.14 am UK, just after I read that you could order on the iphone app, which is what I did.
