Oye, those bad power adapters...

......So both my LaCie (3 years ago) and now my Iomega external drives have been using this same crappy AC adapter, and those drives have failed, causing me major headache... A $15 AC adapter causes expensive drives to fail, and files may become toast, causing enormous damage... I've been reading many complaints about those adapters.

NOW, where do I get replacements for those faulty adapters? I was sure RadioShack, but the guy at the store says they don't sell those Mac-compatible adapters. I see some products elsewhere, but the AMPERAGE marked next to the 12v - 5v in the specs are higher than what's printed on my failing adapters.

Any easy solution, guys?

Thanks.

More Amperage available is good, it's not how much it will use, just how much it can use.
