How to reserve an iPhone at local Apple Store again

Like many others, I want to change my iPhone 4 and get the new iPhone 5 next Friday. I'm out of contract now, but will probably get another one.

Last time (June 2010), I received an email from my local Apple Store asking if I wanted to reserve iPhone 4. My previous iPhone 3 was from the Carphone Warehouse, so not sure how Apple got my details, other than buying my Mac from the Apple Store and being a One to One customer too.

Does anyone know if Apple will email some customers again and if so, how they choose them. There is a difference of hours waiting in the the queues between the reserved and unreserved queues.

I got an email from Apple directly this morning saying I could pre-order my phone(s). I used the Apple Store (not App Store - they are totally different apps) to order my phones, so you can use that, or use the website directly and when you place the order you choose whether you want in-store or delivery service.

Assuming you are in the UK Apple are currently only pre ordering unlocked iPhone 5

no nano sim included on line via Apple.com/UK

I have not seen anything about buying on 21/9 except available from 08:00 at your local Apple store

get in the queue ( I ordered mine at 08:01 online this morning delivery on 21/9 )

I'll have to wait and see if I get an email from Apple next week from my local store to get one pre-reserved (locked phone).

If not, it's going to be an early morning to start queueing up with everyone else.
