    Ordered iPhone 5 super early, was told I woudl get it super late. 

     

    Rather not deal with it.  The IOS interface is starting to lose it's flavor with me.

     

    Anyone else get anxious whenever they have a red notification number on an app?  *shudder*

    I can't speak to that.  I can only tell you what I did and what I have done everytime a new iPhone has been released.  It has always worked, 100% of the time.  Not to say it was easy the previous two times, in fact it was downright annoying.  This time everything went really well, just ordered after ATT's countdown.  Staying up late is definitely going to give you a better shot than ordering at 9AM.

     

    I can't speak for everyone else's expereinces.  Maybe some info was entered correctly, maybe they have their time off.  Maybe ATT really screwed up.  If I ordered within a couple hours of the preorder going live and I was delayed, I would expect some time of resolution from ATT.

    Correct. I ordered mine at 3:48 AM EST and my ststus on ATT says backordered.

    @krizzle07 how did you order your phone? website or over the phone?

    @kurt7416 maybe on apples site but theres been nothing said about when att actually went out of stock.

    this site claims att went out of stock a few hours after apple did. so if they're out of stock how are orders placed after 9am 9/14 to 9/15 getting tracking numbers. it doesnt really add up.

    Also, did you receive a confirmation email.  I received my confirmation email on 9/14 at 2:10 A.M. CST.

     

    I could see ATT not telling people they were out of stock.  They are counting on people not cancelling even with the delay.

    AT&T Website. Got the confirmation email saying my phone would arrive on the 21st then another email saying my order was processed, could not be changed, and is pending shipment. since then, the att website says qty ordered "1" qty backordered "1". AT&T customer service is a joke. BTW i ordered a 16g Black iPhone 5

    My case seems strange.  I stayed up late to order right when pre orders became available.  Site kept crashing so it took 45 min, but at 3:45 EST I sucessfully pre ordered from AT&T's website.  The confirmation page I got said it would be delivered 9/21, but other than a "congratulations!" text message, I never received another communication of any sort: no confirmation email, no shipping email, no email telling me that my estimated delivery date has changed.  Nothing.  And my order status still says it's back-ordered.  I guess even staying up to order in the middle of the night doesn't guarantee shipment on time. Oh well.

    At least you all are getting confirmation emails.  I haven't received a single email about anything thus far.  The only thing I've received is a text message saying my order was processed and sent to warehouse to be processed and that my order couldn't be changed.  That was a little while after ordering.  So, I haven't even received a dreadful email yet to state I won't be getting mine.

    I received a text this morning from ATT stating that my phone had shipped. Also received another email.

    Since I ordered over the phone. I got an email to accept some terms which I did. Then Saturday at 4:02am I got two emails confirming the orders.

    You guys only have a couple weeks.  My guess is it will be sooner.
