ipod will not turn on

Have you worked through all of the troubleshooting here yet?

iPod won't turn on

Try holding down the home button and the sleep button at the same time

Their locations:

Home button: Only button on the face of the device; Round with grew square in center

Sleep button: Located in the top right portion of the device; usually black; tiny and slim.

If this does not work, try plugging the device into a power source such as a computer or a wall.

Take a trip to your local Apple Store or try the trouble shooter in the comfort of your own home

Thank you Alicia. Your advice worked and just saved me a trip to Louisville to the Apple Store. My 10 year old thanks you too as it was her Ipod that would not turn on. Holding the Home button and sleep button worked.
