Forwarded emails

My forwarded emails don't say my name,they say my boyfriends name where mine should be. It's my hotmail email being forwarded to my mail application. Those are the only emails with his name on it. How do I change this back to my name? I'm not sure if this has happended to anyone else or is a common occourence with forwarded emails?
