Q: how do i unstick my isight webcam from my monitor?

i have an iSight external webcam that is mounted to the back of my old iMac, the one with the swivel top, and it won't come off! I used the provided glue stickers and stuff to attach it and it won't budge. What should i do?

It has been a few years since I removed one, but here's what I recall: patience, dental floss (or button thread or thin wire) to saw through the adhesive layer, then a drop or two of a solvent to clean off the adhesive remains.
