Q: I'm very disappointed that AirPlay does not work on my MacPro or Mac Air.

I wouldn't promote this feature.

Mac Pro (Mid 2010), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

Then feel free not to promote it, why should you if you can run it.

I have a MacPro that won't even run Mountain Lion. Guess I won't promote anything in ML.

But I have a MBP that does run Airplay mirroring so I guess I will promote it. With the caveat that you need to have a fast WiFi network to really use it and to me it is not really that useful. I guess if I was connecting to large TVs or projectors for presentations it might be different.

You might take a flyer with AirParrot.

That's the problem with technology, it just keeps moving. You might want to save your anger for Intel, all Apple is doing is writing a line of code that use QuickSync in the Intel chipset. Wasn't available for the Intel chips in your equipment.
