Changing IP address without admin privileges

I am using the beta software LinkLiar based on MIT open source code that forms AirPortClown which changes ones internet IP address, I am not the admin of my computer (for security reasons) and find that LinkLiar will not work. While the original AirPortClown software worked for me, LinkLiar (using modified source) will not, it specifically malfunctioning when I have to enter in my admin password to change the IP, I have tested it with IP settings that I know will work with AirPortClown, yet do not in the new LinkLiar and was hoping somebody interested in this kind of software to verify this please.
