Multimedia Speakers And Your PowerBook

Hi All,

I used to own a pair of Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 Speakers. I understand that 2 satellites are best for listening to music in a small room, especially a dorm room. However, I am on the lookout for a better pair. (I have heard from numerous people that one cannot get any better than those Klipsch Pro Media 2.1's, but they must be out there.)

If I get this set, will it work fine with just merely connecting the jack to the headphone input? Or are there "soundcards" that can make such a big difference in quality?

Any thoughts would be great!
