Q: Moving a updated Aperture licens

I have just bought a new hdd for my Macbook Pro, the old one had seen better days so to say! I have always updated my macs from one to another, but this time I thought I should do a clean install to get rid of **** from previous versions (mac os8).

When installing Aperture I had my serialnr from 3.0 who was updated from 2.0 who was updated from 1.0. Aperture asked me after putting in my serialnr, that I should put my version 2 number in since it was an update. Unfortunally I can not find my package for 2.0, so I wonder if there is any way to get around this so I can install my Aperture on my new disk.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

Not after a clean install - you would have to clone your previous disk to your new system volume to restore the serial number information from your older system.

Contact Apple with a proof of purchase and ask for a replacement serial number:
