Q: Problems transferring videos to the iPad

Hello,

I am running a MBP, plus I have an iPhone and iPad (version 1). I take pictures and videos with both the iPhone and my Sony digital camera, and import them into iPhoto. The photos all transfer fine, and can be played/viewed in iPhoto and also appear fine on the iPad.

However, while the photos transfer to the iPad, the videos don't. This happens if I have the videos in iPhoto, and also if I import them into the Movies section of iTunes and sync them that way. Other movies do appear on the iPad (such as those purchased through iTunes), but not ones I have created on either camera.

The formats are fine - they are either creatively natively on the iPhone (and not edited), or taken with the digital camera and converted to m4v. I have even opened them in QuickTime and saved them as mov files, without success.

I don't use iCloud, mainly because I am running Snow Leopard and for some reason Apple won't support that OS.

Can anyone help advise as to how to get them onto the iPad?

Thanks.

Powerbook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)
