    Welcome to the Apple Community.

AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, OS X 10.8 or better and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). It also requires the computer to be using wi-fi.

Yup! I just want to know the reason why does this feature not support 2009/2010 MacBook Pro?

The spec of that NB should be fit for this function. I can only apply third-party software to enable this function instead now.

Or is it only a game of a technology trend/ business strategy?!
