how do i set up a rescue email

The security email (rescue email) you can setup on your apple ID on appleid.apple.com

The password of your apple ID can be resetted at iforgot.apple.com

and the security questions you can't change.

When I go into My Apple Id, it makes me answer questions in order to set up the rescue email. But I can't remember the answers! And iTunes says the only way to help my case is to send the answers to the rescue email, but i cant remember if i set it up or not, plus the option does not show up!

Yes. You can change the answers to the security questions provided when you originally signed up for your Apple ID. Go to My Apple ID and click Manage your Apple ID. Sign in with your Apple ID name and password, go to the section Password and Security and click Reset your security information.

Click on "Account Management" and then on "Forgotten Security Questions". That will take you to a page where you can talk to iTunes Support right away, or you can schedule a call to talk to them. They should be able to get you squared away so that you can log on to the old Apple ID.

It won't let me get into the Password and Security section without answering the security questions, which I forgot the answers to, and it's not giving me the rescue email option. Help!

This does not work, you cannot click reset security questions by this method. It is impossible to get to your security questions if you don't have a rescue email and you can't add one. I have never been so frustrated with trying to use something in my life. Apple needs to make it easier to retrieve your information!!

I'm not calling apple -_- they should just email me instead of me having to call them

Likewise - totally annoyed with Apple web site - round in circles, round in circles, round in circles, round in circles, ad nauseum - and to think I nearly bought a Macbook instead of notebook - I must have been going mad - oh well there are other ways of LEGALLY downloading music, and there are other smartphones - time to move on - an apple a day keeps everyone annoyed

I sent my request, and they said " Email sent ", but didn't recieve any mail to my mail box! What's wrong ?

I have the same problem. Can't figure out how to do it. If I find it I'll let you know. Can you please do the same?
