No rent/buy button on movie

I'm in ireland which is where I have my iTunes account. I was going to rent a movie tonight which is available under "new to rent or buy". But there's no rent or buy button available - either greyed out or not. Other movies do have a rental button , although it seems that the buy option is only available on iTunes on my iPad or mac for them. This movie is available to buy thru iTunes on iPad, though not to rent.

Anyone any ideas why this should be? I don't have parental controls set.

Have you tried changing the resolution in your iTunes store settings on the Apple TV.

The settings were originally 1080hd (or whatever is close to that I'm not good on remembering numbers!). I then changed it to 790 which seems to be the only other available option to me. But that didn't make a difference as far as a rental button is concerned, nor did I expect it too, I thought it would just be to download more quickly. I'm thinking that maybe there's some distribution issue but I've seen the movie available in rental stores so I can't see what the problem might be.

I guess it might be one of the movies from one of the studios that haven't licensed Apple the right offer redownloadable movies.

I guess so. But it seems stupid to include it in that case. Each country's store offers different movies so I can't see the point in showcasing it if it's not available.

Maybe it should explain why it's there, I don't think it should be removed since it lets you know it can be bought from another device.
