My ipod nano 6th gen is completely unresponsive. I've used different usb cords, plugged directly into the wall, tried docking station. It initially flashed a very faint apple and then gradually the resolution is completely normal with charging, but it will not turn on, I can't reset it, the blinking just continues, it's not being located by my pc. I'm out of answers. This is my second one now in 4 years. Its really very disappointing to me that I've spent this much on apple products that I end up tossing after a couple of years. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it possible to be fixed? It was working fine not long ago...

About the only suggestion I have is to try and connect the Nano to iTunes in Disk Mode.

    Putting iPod into Disk Mode

Thanks planb77, but unfortunately, I'm unable to get a charge so I haven't been able to connect it to even put it in disk mode. I'm thinking maybe the battery has completely died. Maybe if I take it to a retailer, they could put a new battery in and I may have better luck trying this before buying something else.

If you or anyone has any other suggestions, I'm all ears as I'm really hoping to get it working again. Listening to the music I just purchased on my laptop speakers is no bueno! Bought the music before knowing the ipod wouldn't work..

    Thanks again though!

It could be the battery, but there is no for sure way to tell unforunately.  How old is the iPod? If it's still under 1 year old, it should be covered by Apple's 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects.
