With the new iphone 5 lightning adaptor, will it be able to be used with pioneer radio stereos? The function is called "advanced app mode" and you are able to control the music and navigation apps on the stereo

I mean if I was to guess I would say no because of the no ipod out and no video out functionality. But will they ever bring it out so that I can use my car stereo with my iphone 5?
As no one here works for Apple, we'll all just have to wait and see.

Yes. Works in my 2011 Nissan Versa Sport, and I've seen reports that it works in at least some late model Chevrolets. Apparently doesn't work in the handful of BMW models that use the "iPod Out" standard to show album art, etc.
My local Apple store confirmed a no-questions-asked return policy, and invited me to try it out.
