1 iPhone & 2 MacBooks

Hello.

My client will be getting a new MacBook soon, but will still use his old 15" MacBook Pro (2008; updated Mac OS X 10.5.8). I read that iTunes will overwrite iDevices from the computer instead of iDevice overwriting the computer. Is there a way to avoid this and have the iPhone be the master and copy to more than one computers?

Thank you in advance. 🙂

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 2.4 Ghz; A1260 model; 15" size.

Syncing an iPhone with multiple computers can cause some issues which are mentioned in this article:

I recommend that your client create an iCloud account with his computer and enable iCloud on his Macs.

This way any changes to contacts and calendars will be pushed to all three devices.

Thanks. Unfortunately, he is not a fan of cloud unless it is locally.

I wonder what happened to users who lost their computers and no backups (no iCould too), but not their iPhones.
