On the list of iPod models page on Wikipedia they say preordering the new iPod touch get those benefits.Is this truth?

The bottom says:
On September 13, 2012, Apple CEO Timothy Cook announced the new 5th Generation iPod Touch. He also revealed the exclusive Pre-Order date for the iPod was September 14th 2012. The benefits of pre-ordering includes a 100$ off and a 50$ Apple App Store gift card.
I have not seen anything of the sort on Apple/s site. The Wikis are not always correct.
