I have a new macbook pro OS X 10.8, and I am trying to install some photoshop actions into Photoshop Elements 10. However, I need to find the System Library to do this and I cannot locate it. Anyone able to help me through this?
If you want the System library location you can access it under the "Go" menu in the Finder and select "Go to Folder...". You can then enter "/Library". If you want the user's library that you are logged in as you would enter "~/Library".
I hope I don't sound ridiculously incompetent, but when I go into "Finder", there is not a "Go" menu. When I use my old Mac, I find it, but on the new pro, I'm not finding it. I have tried typing it into the search, but no success there, either. Thank you for your help, though. I truly appreciate it!
Click the desktop on an empty spot to activate Finder.
Normally "Go" menu will appear between the "View" menu and the "Window" menu
in the Finder menubar at the top of the screen.
Easy to miss sometimes.
