Sep 16, 2012 8:55 AM in response to wjostenby Huey Mungus,Hi there: Guess I was not clear. I do not want it installed! It is somehow automatically being installed without any prompting by me. I need it removed and stopped from being automatically installed.
The only solution to uninstalling it is to reinstall the OS.

Sep 16, 2012 9:43 AM in response to Huey Mungusby wjosten,Don't know what else to tell you. Someone had to put the installer on your system. If you're within 14 days of purchase, return it for a no questions asked full refund. Then, use the money to purchase a new system.

Oct 11, 2012 7:01 AM in response to gumsieby Huey Mungus,I updated to 10.8.2 which after that happened, there was a firmware update that popped up on the software update (I always run it again just to see what if anything couldbe there) and saw that. It dealt with a freezing issue for the 2012 15in MBP. I ran that and it resolved the FREEZING issue. I do not beleive it was a FIPS issue since I reloaded the OS twice with once from the Apple Genius. And the FIPS thing kept showing up.
