So with an early 2009 iMac, I can't get audio out of the mini display port with an hdmi adapter. Is there anything out there that gets audio/video out in another way to my tv?
You will need a 3.5mm to Stereo RCA Male Cable or a 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2 RCA Stereo Female Cable and an RCA cable from the iMac's Output (headphone) jack to the TV.
Thanks for the reply. Kinda figured this was the way I'd have to go. Do you think there will be any syncing problems with the video and the audio since 2 different cables will be used?
Shouldn't be, I never have any with an earlier Intel iMac and older TV using a Mini-DVI to S-Video adapter and the headphone to RCA connection.
