I have a MBP 2.0 with 10.4.6 and I've noticed that Photo Booth runs very slowly when I chose effects button #1 (so you can see all the effects at the same time)... When I go to the second page of effects or just operate with one effect at a time, it runs much better. Has anybody experienced slower response from iSight/Photo Booth when running under the multi effect view screen?
I have the same thing. Only when view all effects on effects 1 at once. When I use an effect ftom effects 1 it is fine. Not a big deal though, but odd.
Wow... I'm glad its not just me... Just kind of strange since I have a friend with the exact same MBP, and there is no delay or slow response. Any possible reasons for this?
did you check if the MBP of your friend is already updated to 10.4.6? It is possible that his unit has 10.4.5 and yours already updated at 10.4.6 thus it is possible that the latest update is the culprit.
hmmm good point... i will see if his is indeed 10.4.5... if anybody has noticed a differenece between response time in Photo Booth between the two versions, please post.
Just thought I'd add my 2c to this: I just fired up Photo Booth for a laugh, and I could swear it's now MUCH slower on effect tab 1 than it used to be.
Yes 10.4.6 definitely did something here. also, my camera flickers when I launch photobooth whereas before it was fine--I am certain it was fine before 10.4.6 because I used it regularly.
Great! Now we wait for an update to fix an update.
I have just updated my new Mackbook Pro to 10.4.6. I read on the support forum other user updating and then experiencing flicker problems with photobooth. I checked my photobooth before updating and it was perfect. I have just updated and I too am now getting the flicker. It seems this update has created a speific issue for photobooth which needs immeadiate remidy. The 1 option also causes slowing down of photobooth, is there a way to uninstal this update as its PANTS
Has anyone found a solution to this problem. . .it is really ******* me off.
I reinstalled photobooth twice deleted ALL my chache files, the preference file etc.--still, no dice, same flicker on photobooth launch and also the slow motion in the effects screen.
If there is no quick fix I will just forget about it, as I can live with this minor annoyance.
