Can't transfer Movies due to "lost" Apple ID Password

Here's the situation. Bought a new computer for my son and need to transfer his ITunes library over to the new computer. The music files transferred without any problems, but the movies did not. I copied a movie to a flash drive and then copied it onto my son's new computer. When he tries to open it, it asks for his Apple ID and passwoord. Here's the hitch, my son cannot remember his passowrd and the email account which is his Apple ID is no longer active. (Hasn't been for a couple of years.) Apple wants to send the "new passowrd" info to this email but obviosly we can't access that expired email. Tried the other option and entered my son's birthdate but it says the info provided is incorrect. Thoughts?
