Hello. I am trying to connect to W-Fi but under settings it states that under Wi-Fi there is "No Wi-Fi". How do I connect?

For some reason in settings I'm trying to access Wi-Fi and it is not available. It states there is "No Wi-Fi". How do I get this IPOD to access wi-fi?
